6 months: Try for 6 months and have unprotected sex a few days before during and after your ovulation date. If still not pregnant- than see your Ob/GYN dr. Best wishes.

6 months: Try for 6 months and then see an obygn if still not pregnant after 6 months of trying with unprotected intercourse. Remember, 33% of time infertility is due to woman, 33% of time due to male factor, and 33% of time due to unknown cause. Don't automatically assume that the infertility is due to your body. Husband should be tested as well if no conception after 6 months. Good luck!
