FTA-ABS tests for the treponemes of syphilis but is not an antinuclear antibody; none of the others are tests for treponemes / syphilis. If you tested positive for any of these beyond FTA-ABS, the interpretation is subtle and best handled by your rheumatologist or general doctor

Took a Treponema pallidium antibody test (electrochemiluminescence assay) 5 days after a course of phenoxymethylpenicillin (250mg tabs, 8 per day for a week for sinusitis). Could this cause a false neg test? Test taken 6 weeks post potential exposure?
