Treatment Options: Bipolar disorder Tx Meds fall into classes of mood stabilizers (Lithium/ anticonvulsants like valproic acid, divalproex or lamotrigine) & atypical antipsychotics (Quetiapine, aripiprazole, olanzapine or risperidone). Schizophrenia is treated with antipsychotics.Other tx: psychoeducation, cognitive behavioral therapy, psychotherapy & family or group therapy.
