Parathyroid removal: In the hours after surgery you will have some symptoms but this should recover quickly. The parathyroid removal could be one large parathyroid gland - there are four glands - and full recovery could be soon and simple. If more than one gland is removed you will be properly treated to keep your PTH and calcium levels normal.
