Fistula: Tracheoesophageal fistulas are rare. They are usually diagnosed in newborns who have frequent aspiration pneumonias. In adults the can be the result of trauma, tumor or from complications of treatments. They usually present as frequent aspiration pneumonias and usually require surgery to correct.
