A member asked:

What do you suggest if my newborn was diagnosed with tracheoesophageal fistula (tef)?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

TE fistula: The important thing has already happened - the baby got a proper diagnosis. This is important because sometimes the diagnosis is not made for months, and considerable lung damage and growth problems can occur by this time. Now that it has been diagnosed, the baby has the surgery to fix it and then after a recovery period, should be good as new. B first birthday they'll be tearing up the house!!
