Depends on the cause: There are many potential causes. The sciatic nerve or one of it's branches can be 'pinched' by a herniated disc, stuck vertebra, or piriformis muscle spasm, or even hamstring spasm. Many other causes such as referred pain from SI ligament injury, too.A good history & physical, incl osteopathic hands-on exam may find/fix it. If nerve is inflamed, neuroprolotherapy may help.

Physical therapy: It sounds like you are having radiating pain down the back of the right thigh. This may be the result of a "pinched nerve" or radiculopathy. The general measures used first are conservative treatments like mild pain medications, non-steroidal anti-inflammatory agents, physical therapy. If it does not improve, your doctor may order an MRI scan to evaluate for possible herniated disc as the cause.
