what are some diseases that affect the heart?

1 doctor answer
Dr. Warren Foster
19 years experience Cardiac Electrophysiology
Heart diseases: Usually heart disease refers to coronary atherosclerotic heart disease, which causes narrowing of the blood vessels supplying the heart. There are many other conditions that affect the blood vessels, heart muscle, electrical system, or valve functions in the heart. Too many to list, but those four are the main general categories. They can also be genetic or congenital. Good luck.
