CAN BE PROBLEMATIC!: Hi! Post surgery this can be normal echymoses ( bruising ), BUT can also be due to disruption of circulation - especially if one or more of the following are present : cold digit(s), swelling, pain, any dehiscence ( skin / wound / surgical site breakdown ). Regardless, after surgery anything that appears abnormal or that you have a question about or concern SHOULD BE REFFERED ASAP TO YOUR SURGEON!

IT CAN BE: Yes, your toes can bruise after surgery. Just make sure they are warm to touch, and when you push on the end of the toe, the color returns immediately. Pain out of proportion is not normal. Make sure your surgeon is aware of what's going on.
