A member asked:

Is a tumor in the bladder dangerous?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Can be: an early lesion found to involve mucosa only is easily treated by fulguration and intravesicle drugs such a BCG. If the tumor has penetrated into the muscularis of the bladder then surgical resection is most often effective. Should the lesion penetrate to the surface and nodes involved then chemo - radiation and possible cystectomy needed with high failure rate.
