A few differences: There are differences between these- in one there is awareness but no movement, in the other there is usually movement but no awareness. For most people, sleep paralysis is associated with narcolepsy. People with this symptom remember being awake during the episode. People with seizures normally are not aware of them, and they may have involuntary movements.
