Seizures: Typically, a post-ictal period after a seizure is a few minutes but can be longer for more prolonged generalized seizures. If it is taking a long time for a person to regain baseline status after a seizure, more urgent care is needed to make sure multiple seizures are not recurring back to back.

Quite variable: After a complex partial seizure people often do not sleep. After a convulsion some folks sleep 15 or 20 minutes....Some for hours.
