Possibly: Any opioid such as hydromorphone can get you "high" or sleepy under the right circumstances. Pain Relief usually occurs at doses substantially below these levels. Contributing factors include concurrent medication or alcohol use, amount taken and genetic factors which determine how the drug is metabolized.
