Occasionally: Normally, tachycardia is your bodies response to prevent your body passing out. A condition called ventricular tachycardia, is rare in otherwise healthy hearts, but often leads to passing out. Supraventricular tachycardia (SVT); however, uncommonly leads to passing out. When it does, it's usually due to Tachy-Brady syndrome, especially in the elderly or while on rate slowing medications.
