Sick with what?: Adderal increases heart rate & blood pressure, usually not to a harmful degre. Cough & cold preparations with pseudoephedrine add to the increase. Fruit juices & other agents that acidify the GI tract & urine reduce absorption of Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). Antacids & proton pump inhibitors increase its absorption. Tell your doctor & pharmacist all prescription, OTC, holistic & "natural" medications you take.
