You can do without: Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) withdrawal causes just a little excessive sedation. If i were sick with a flu and requiring rest, i wouldn't take adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine). There should be no problem starting it up again once you're feeling better. We used to routinely have kids take Adderall (dextroamphetamine and racemic amphetamine) only during school and not on weekends. There was no problem in stopping it. We just realized that kids benefited from it on the weekends also.
