Medication: There are many different types of hypertensive medications. Ace inhibitors, angiotension receptor blockers, beta blockers, calcium channel blockers, diuretics, Alpha blockers are the major ones. Each has a different effect and works better for different people. Most people require 2 or more medications to control high blood pressure.
