Possible early infxn: As I always tell my patients, if you are wearing contacts and have any irritation or vision change, let me examine your eyes to be certain there is no problem. You describe a "clear" spot on iris & slight contact lens irritation. It's very difficult to be 100% sure that this isn't an early contact-related issue but an exam would certainly be the safest and reassuring approach. For now, glasses.
