Abdominal lump: This can be an infected insect bite or an umbilical hernia. Either of these can become an emergency. If an abscess is created by a resistant strain of bacteria, it can become a deadly infection. If, on the other hand, it is an umbilical hernia, that can become incarcerated and also become a surgical emergency. It could also be a fatty tumor, benign and harmless. See a doctor ASAP to diagnose.
