Lump : You need to see a doctor to have this checked out . It could be caused by many things , including an ear infection dental abscess , etc .....

Probably a cyst: Lumps such as these,appearing suddenly without any other associated symptom such as pain or fever etc, may be benign such as a bony growth or a sebaceous cyst. Regardless, it needs to be examined by a doctor to make sure there is no other test to rule out other medical condition.
