Need more info: Your ALT is just above normal and may be due to the medication you are taking. If you drink alcohol, stop entirely. Unless other liver function test results were abnormal, it is probably not necessary to repeat the test monthly.

You have "hepatitis": "Hepatitis" is a generic term that means your liver is inflamed. This can be caused by infection w/ viruses (like a, b, c, d, e, etc, cmv, ebv), parasites, bacteria. Non-infectious causes include alcohol, toxin exposure, occupational risk, drugs (like Tylenol (acetaminophen) overdose), familial liver diseases, ischemic damage, heart problems, infiltrative pathology ("fatty liver"), trauma, etc. Any test results?
