Herniation: So, as you probably know, herniation (or a hernia) is where one structure comes through another structure. Usually, this is not the ideal situation, and needs to be corrected. I would see your doctor, who will probably refer you to a general surgeon for repair. I would lighten up a bit on the weightlifting until you know what it is. Good luck!

Could be!: You could be correct! Don't delay!! See your PCP (Primary Care Provider) or Gynecologist for confirmation/Treatment Hernia's in females can cause problems!!!! Hope this helps DR Z

OK: Stop the rigorous exercise and lifting until you see a doctor for a confirmatory and diagnostic examination that eventually, if indeed a hernia, may need surgical correction. best wishes.

See your doc: You are definitely identifying risk factors that may predispose you towards a hernia. If you have noticed changes to suggest a hernia, a physical exam done by a trained physician can help you delineate the cause behind your bulge. Go to a physician near you.
