Right side groin pain. how to discern if it is strain or hernia? is there a way i can tell it myself? i have felt for a bulge and couldn't feel one. felt for it while coughing and standing and couldn't feel a bulge then either?

If symptomatic but you can't feel it in the groin area (inguinal area) or inside the scrotum when coughing or straining then likely you do not have hernia. Good luck.

It could be strain or a hernia. Self diagnosis is frequently wrong and often dangerous. Pl see your doc
