How common is dvt in 24 year olds constant fear i'm overweight and smoke no other risk factors it ruining my life seem gp no help? please

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Smoking: Hi. Direct your worry based on magnitude of risk. Stratifying your risk, I would put smoking at #1, overweight/obesity at #2, and risk of DVT at a distant #3. That is unless you have some reason your DVT risk is increased we don't know about (e.g., factor V Leiden, lupus anticoagulant, etc). Please worry about smoking. Eat healthily and exercise regularly for life. Prioritize risk.
