Hantavirus: Yes I would recommend it. Early symptoms are chills, fever and muscle ache then may begin to feel better for a very short amount of time, but within 1-2 days, it becomes hard to breathe with dry cough, general ill feeling, headache, shortness of breath, nausea and vomiting. I would also suggest testing for Lyme disease given your symptoms. It may also be a simple flu-like viral infection.

Hantavirus testing: With only one case of Hantavirus having been reported to the CDC from Massachusetts from 1993 ( when surveilance began) until JAN 2017 - I don't think antibody testing would be worth it. There are only 20 to 40 cases of Hantavirus reported annually in the US. Get checked out- but not for Hantavirus.
