Cancer: after an operation of the stomach area to remove a so-called malignant tumor, could md actually find out later it is benign. how determined?

Yes it is possible: It requires a carefully microscopic examination by a pathologist to determine if a tumor is benign or malignant. Surgeons can not tell when the remove a growth...it is only later on that a pathologist does many special tests in the laboratory before the final diagnosis is made.
