Unlikely.: Was it one of the newborns that vomited? If so, it is unlikely that it is something contagious. If it was an older child who was visiting and was ill with a stomach virus and you actually had the vomited material go into your nose, it is possible, but still unlikely. If you touched the material and then washed your hands right away, it would be unlikely.

Possible: This depends on the cause of the child's vomiting. If this is a six month old baby with reflux, then you are probably not going to get sick. If this is any age baby with a viral cause of vomiting, then there is a good chance you will get sick. Vomiting viruses are spread by direct contact. Wash hands frequently, never touch your face, and if ever in doubt, wash hands again!
