Dermatitis: If simple OTC remedies don't improve, like Aquaphor, etc, then i would try a cortisone cream 2x/day for a week to see if it improves.

Perioral dermatitis: is a very common condition caused by application of the steroid cream. The treatment consists of stop using irritants on the face, antibiotics and anti-inflammatory creams. Ask your PCP for more information.
