Try this ...: There really is not a specific shampoo to recommend but look for these ingredients which seem to be healthier for hair: glycerin, protective barrier to hair follicles; nut & seed oils (jojoba, shea); acidic ingredients (sodium citrate/citric acid) helps keep right pH; panthenol, a form of vitamin B helps retain moisture. Avoid these: sulfates, isopropyl alcohol, formaldehyde, propylene glycol.

Agree w Dr. Abbott: For healthy hair growth: Get adequate sleep,avoid excess sugar & fat in diet, v carbonated beverages, eat enough protein, exercise regularly. Biotin helps (but don't over do it). Insure you have adequate Iron (think kale & other dark green leafies), Omega 3 fatty acids (think walnuts) and vitamin E (fruits & vegetables).
