Pediatrician: I would suggest you use a humidifier overnight and make an appointment with the pediatrician in the morning (due to the fever for 2 days) just to make sure there isn't a bacterial component of the illness. If he has any increased work of breathing/difficulty breathing then seek treatment at ER immediately.
