Cause: The specific bacterial cause of filaria in your father's case should be delineated and then empirical antibiotics can be prescribed. Some cases need to be treated with local surgical debasement if the antibiotics are not enough. I would hope he can see his MD during the 21 days to check for improvement or worsening.
