What you will do.: The goal is long term. You don't want to burn out psychologically. Generally women do not want too much muscular definition so they use lighter weights & do more repetitions. Do not strain your muscles or tendons. Go easy and pay attention. Do not try to gain weight with diet because you will be trying to lose it for years to come. Weights & walking should bulk you up with healthy diet.
