Flumist: The flumist vaccine is a live attenuated virus vaccine. That means that it is still the real flu virus, but it is weaker than the kind that's out in the world infecting people. It is safe for anyone with a normal immune system who does not have asthma. You are more likely to get a runny nose and fever with the flumist than with the flu shot, but it's for a short time and much better than the flu.

Inhaled flu vaccine: Very unlikely. While ALL immunizations may have certain side effects, they are rare, indeed. The flu is likely more dangerous than any potential side effect commonly experienced.

Nasal spray Flu: vaccine can cause nasal congestion, headache, sore throat, cough, nausea/ vomiting, wheezing, muscular aches and pains or fever. However, most likely you won't have a side effect and you will be protected from the FLU.

FLUMIST: The inhalation flu vaccine is called FLUMIST. You cannot use this if you are egg allergic,immune- suppressed, or have had any condition with significant wheezing in the past month. Many also recommend anyone with chronic respiratory conditions such as asthma get the shot instead. It may cause a little bit of runny nose and throat irritation. It provides excellent protection! Go for it!

Flu vaccine: It is a live attenuated vaccine, and sometimes there can be mild symptoms of a cold after receiving the inhaled form of flu vaccine. There is evidence that it may also help to prevent other viruses, but this is being further investigated. If you have had a flu vaccine reaction, or if you have asthma, I would advise checking with your physician.
