Yes: Pancreaticoduodenectomy, aka Whipple procedure, is used for adenocarcinoma of the head of the pancreas. The outcome of this operation on survival depends on size (T1 or T2 lesion means less than or more than 2 cm), but also lymph node involvement. This factors into the staging of the cancer. Five year survival in this group is approximately 15-20% and the use of adjuvant chemoradiotherapy
