No hair loss: NanoKnife IRE System that is Irreversible Electroporation, or IRE, uses electrical energy to target tumors on the cellular level. IRE destroys tumors using intense electric bursts, IRE is a minimally invasive procedure with no surgical incision. Electricity is applied through probes inserted through the skin. Ultrasound or CT imaging guides the placement of the probes to the site of tumor.
