Need in-person exam: The excision site has to be reexamined and probably biopsied again to make sure there is not any kind of return of the cell growth. If your mole was premalignant, but the borders were not clear, we have to consider a melanoma that does not produce melanin. It happens, and is frequently missed. Fortunately the mass is symptomatic (itchy). It could also be a benign keloid scar- they can itch too.
