Referal: I"m not sure what work up you have had so far, but you will also need a rheumatological work up. They need to check for rheumatoid arthritis and several other disease that are caused by an auto immune disorder. Your PCP should be able to do the initial work up but you might need to see a rheumatologist.

See your GP: I am glad you have seen your general practitioner regarding these symptoms- routine blood tests are usually a good place to start. Ask your doctor about the utility of checking for more obscure diagnoses such as rheumatoid arthritis or lupus.
