Supportive: There are many variables involved in the treatment of renal calculi or "kidney stones". Generally, a stone the size of 5.3mm should pass spontaneously with time. Drink plenty of water and use pain medication as needed. Stones that do not passed can sometimes by treated with lithotripsy or ureteral stenting.
