No reliable evidence: I don't believe there is concrete evidence! It is easier to prevent acne than treating severe acne because severe/cystic acne will cause scars which are permanent. Inflammatory acne are often treated with topical benzoy/antibiotic combo or oral antibiotics. blackheads acne probably better treated with some retinoid derivatives..It is best to consult doc for individualized treatment...
