Curds & whey: If your baby has a documented allergy to one or both cow's milk proteins, casein (curds) & whey, your pediatrician or pediatric allergist would have recommended an alternative formula. There's no other reason to avoid casein, just like there's no reason to avoid gluten if you don't have celiac disease. Neither protein causes nor worsens symptoms of Autistic Spectrum Disorder.
