Clostridium difficil: Severe explosive green diarrhea. Extreme foul odor. Can occur spontaneously..but more often follows a course of broad spectrum antoibiotics. Abdominal pain, gas and fever can accompany this all. Toxins (A & B) being produced causing the symptoms. I've treated hundreds of cases of Cdiff..and yes it can spontaneously resolve in some..but best for antibiotics (Dificid, Flagyl, Oral vancomycin).
