A member asked:

I'd sometimes go sleep around 3am, 4am, and so on, and my mom tells me that when you don't sleep at night time, you lose blood. is this true?

Sleep and blood: i am not aware of any connection between sleep and blood count. Not getting enough sleep is unhealthy and can cause over issues however. Listen to your mom and get some sleep.

HUH???: Never heard of that one. But your symptom description, including nerve pain, may be a concern. Get into a doctor and have a workup with a thorough history and examination.

False: Sleep deprivation can lead to fatigue, learning and concentration difficulties, poor memory, increased appetite, but not blood loss.
