Alt 57 for more than a year. having very yellow faeces for two weeks with yellowish urine. is this indicative of something?

Jaundice: If you are truly significantly yellow, I am concerned you are jaundiced from an underlying liver disease given your history. This is caused by an elevation in bilirubin. You should seek a doctor for evaluation.
