Scar: Whenever you have an injury to the skin- insect bite, chicken pox, acne, etc.- there is a possibility of leaving a scar. You may be able to use a scar reducing cream or ointment, but some scars can last for your lifetime.

Healing tissue.: After an inflammatory reaction, due to the insect bite in this case, sometimes the body forms what is called fibrous tissue and some calcium deposits in its attempt to heal the original body response. That usually stays permanently.
