Usually applied at bedtime. Most acne in adult women is related to hormones, often their birth control. Best treatment may be spironolactone pill (prescription).

Acne on chest: Could be anxiety ,hormonal. There may be no clear answer to triggers . Wear clean bra daily. Treat by washing area 2x a day consider washing with Hibicens that is very antibacterial and use acne meds like benzoyl peroxide. may consider having alcohol wipes on you and wiping area 1-2 midday to keep dry and sweat away. Discuss with dermatologist.
