It's a small dose: The recommended dietary allowance for iron in women your age is 18 mg/day. You are correct: the recommendation for pregnant women is 27 mg/dl; this difference won't hurt you or be a problem unless it is enough to give you side effects: usually constipation. Go ahead & finish what you have if you want. Most vitamin supplements for non-pregnant women have fewer than 10 mg of iron so look for those

Depends: Why are you taking the iron? Are you anemic? I noticed you put bleeding down as a condition. As long as you do not have too much iron already, 27 mg. daily is not a huge amount. To be sure, contact your provider if you have questions.
