Depends...: It all depends on other symptoms.If you are aware that you are going through a lot of stress lately and you don't suffer of any illnesses otherwise then this can definitely affect your attention. Anxiety, depression or merely acute stress due to external events can cause problems with your memory. However, if this is something that keeps happening and severe follow up with your doctor.

Memory problems: It could just be stress related or due to fatigue. However, there are also rarer possibilities such as thyroid disease, Rheumatologic diseases, or neurological diseases that can cause your symptoms. If it persists, see a healthcare provider for further testing.
