Anxiety, depression or merely acute stress due to external events can cause problems with your memory. However, if this is something that keeps happening and severe follow up with your doctor.

Memory problems: It could just be stress related or due to fatigue. However, there are also rarer possibilities such as thyroid disease, Rheumatologic diseases, or neurological diseases that can cause your symptoms. If it persists, see a healthcare provider for further testing.

You should seek emergency medical attention if you find other associated symptoms such as changes in your vision, difficulty speaking, or difficulty with using your arms or legs or walking.
