Tough: Dysphagia is usually a problem with a neurologic cause. It is difficulty in swallowing to the point the person may aspirate in any of the phases of swallowing. Globus is a problem with swallowing that is usually thought to be psychogenic in origin and is made worse by stress and anxiety. Re the GERD, see your doctor again and at your age you may not need an EGD. Ask the doctor why no endoscopy.
