Wait on the Weights: When the cast comes off you will have to do rehab. Rehab is everything at that point. You'll be ready for weightlifting after your rehab is complete and you have good range of motion, minimal pain and the muscles are back to where you can do the usual things in life. Heavier weight lifting/training should be done gradually and carefully. you are 16, so no rush. Be smart for the long haul.
