Ganglion cyst: This sounds like a ganglion cyst. Your doctor could examine it and tell you for sure. Ganglion cysts occur at joint spaces where a bit of the synovial fluid that cushions the joint pops out and causes a cyst. They are benign and usually go away on their own. If it bothers you or you are concerned see your doctor.
